Sappi

Voluntary Announcement: A consultation process was initiated to close the Sappi Lanaken mill in Belgium. The process concluded successfully, with production ceasing at the end of December 2023. Sappi has now reached an agreement with UTB Waalwijk B.V., a Dutch company specializing in industrial property conversions, to sell the land and assets of the Lanaken mill for €50 m (€40m in cash).
