Headline earnings decreased by -4% to R330m, with earnings per share down to 98.39 cents. The dividend was maintained at 125 cents a share. Embedded value per share was 1,803 cents. Segmentally, Clientèle Life (long-term insurance) profit -8% to R253m due to higher-than-expected withdrawals. Clientèle General (short-term insurance) net profit +29% to R105.6m.
