Anglogold Ashanti

AngloGold Ashanti will acquire Centamin, a gold producer with the Sukari gold mine, Egypt’s largest. Centamin shareholders will receive 0.06983 AngloGold Ashanti shares and $0.125 in cash for each Centamin share. This values Centamin at $2.5 bn. After the acquisition, AngloGold shareholders will own 83.6% of the combined company, while Centamin shareholders will own 16.4%.
